Chicago Neighborhood Areas Map: Lead Levels

Posted on: August 3, 2010

Safe and Healthy Homes is a primary prevention partnership linking parents and resources in an effort to abate lead hazards before toddlers begin crawling and exploring the home environment.  Safe and Healthy Homes is funded by the Environmental Protection Agency and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development.

This is a map of Chicago neighborhood areas represented in terms of  blood lead levels of  children tested for lead and reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.  Neighborhoods with high percentage of children with lead levels about 10µg/dL are found in the south and west side of Chicago.
