Janet Patterson, MD, FAAP

Dr. Janet Patterson is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Section of Child Development at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. She completed her Developmental Behavioral Fellowship at The University of Chicago in 2013 after many years as a general pediatrician. She has previously served in Academic Pediatrics and as Pediatric Residency Program Director at the SIU School of Medicine, and as the Medical Director of a Federally Qualified Community Health Center.

Some of Dr. Patterson’s special interests include Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, early diagnosis and support for developmentally and behaviorally challenged children in underserved populations, and Pediatric Residency training in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics

Dr. Patterson is currently a co-chairperson of the Committee of Child Development (COCD).
