Stability Investment for Family Housing Pilot Program
In the Spring of 2023, the IL Department of Human Services and the Inclusive Economy Lab launched the Stability Investment for Family Housing (SIFH) pilot program. The SIFH Pilot is in two phases. The first phase provides a one-time cash transfer to families living in shelters. The second phase is a guaranteed income model that supports families identified by the public school system, who may be doubled-up or in shelter. The presentation will describe both phases of the pilot and the evaluation framework.
