Please join us for a meeting on “Mitigating Housing Insecurity Health Risks for Pregnant Persons and Newborns in Chicago’s Coordinated Entry System” on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, 1-2:30pm. The speakers will discuss known health risks to pregnant persons and newborns and how COCHI participants can be involved in policy change. The meeting presenters include Dr. Stacie Geller, Co-Principal Investigator from I PROMOTE-IL and Dr. Nancy Heil, Co-Chair, First Steps: Improving Child Health and Housing of the Illinois Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics.
We will also be joined by Christine Haley, the newly appointed State Homelessness Chief, who will chair the Illinois Interagency Task Force on Homelessness established by Governor Pritzker in September 2021. The event is sponsored by the Collaborative on Child Homelessness – Illinois (COCHI) and ICAAP’s First Steps: Improving Child Health and Housing.
