RICHI – Human Trafficking and the Pediatric Provider

It is estimated that 88% of human trafficking victims are seen in a healthcare facility at least once during the period in which they are victimized. As healthcare providers, we are among the frontline; be prepared to not only identify victims, but also know what to do when you suspect a patient is experiencing human trafficking. Dr. Joyce Lo, MD, FAAP, who has more has more than 20 years of experience as a general pediatrician and more than 10 years working to combat human trafficking as a member of many anti-trafficking organizations, will be presenting at this event sponsored by the ICAAP Refugee Immigrant Child Health Initiative (RICHI).
